MY ROLES
From 1985 to 1994, much of my work was primarily on stage in the UK, including the National Theatre and the Royal Court Theatre. After moving to South Africa in the 90s, I have been able to play screen roles for a number of films and television shows including Zulu Love Letter, Sometimes in April and Generations. I continued my work in theatre, and worked with John Kani, an iconic figure in South African protest theatre.
Returning to the UK in 2008, I appeared again at the Royal Court and the National. I travelled back and forth to South Africa frequently, landing roles in South African programmes including the drama Lockdown. I decided to live permanently in the UK and have acted in various parts including the regular character of Yvonne in Coronation Street.
At this moment in time, I can be seen on stage, performing in Robert Icke's final play The Doctor which is now playing at the Almeida. Moving forward, I would like to further my development not only in theatre, but also film and television.
